Our Story
North Star Partners was born from a shared life, a shared calling, and a shared commitment to serve leaders with integrity.
Founded by Jamal “Jay” Jimerson and Nehemie “Neh” Moïse, North Star Partners grew from years of working alongside mission-driven organizations navigating pressure, complexity, and change. Long before NSP had a name, Jay and Neh were walking parallel paths in nonprofit leadership, community work, and service. Their partnership, as collaborators and life partners, shaped a deep understanding of what leadership requires when values, people, and mission are all at stake.
Across sectors, they saw the same patterns repeat: leaders carrying immense responsibility with little space for reflection, staff absorbing emotional and cultural strain, boards struggling to stay aligned, and strategic plans stalling when organizational culture was overlooked.
North Star Partners was created to meet those realities with clarity and care.
By bringing together Jay’s systems-based, values-driven approach to strategy and leadership alignment and Neh’s healing-informed, relational approach to wellbeing and culture, NSP helps organizations strengthen leadership from the inside out. We help leaders stay anchored to their values under pressure and translate purpose into practice, policy, and culture.
